The end of the COVID-19 quarantine: actions of the employer
In May 2023, the World Health Organization declared the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of July 1, 2023, quarantine was canceled in the territory of Ukraine.
In view of this, it is necessary to understand for employers whether they should take additional actions in the context of labor relations. For example, when the employer used quarantine as the ground for making certain decisions. Therefore, in this article, we analyze the following questions:
- Should the employer conclude an employment agreement on remote work after the end of the quarantine?
- What about employees who took unpaid leave during the quarantine period?
- What about the benefits provided by employees due to quarantine?
