“Resetting” critical enterprise statuses: How hasty government decisions led to chaos and uncertainty
Recently, the approaches to determining critical enterprises and reserving employees liable for military service have been substantially revised.
This is not the first time such a “reset” has taken place: in November 2024, businesses faced a similar situation.
This time, however, the process proved significantly more complicated and appears to have unfolded quite differently from what the government had anticipated.
This article examines the consequences of the government’s hasty decisions and the challenges businesses faced in the process of reconfirming their critical status.
