Changes in the rules for the employment of foreigners: Law 2623
On September 21, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine No. 2623-IX, which amended the employment of foreigners and stateless persons in Ukraine. The main changes to the Law are as follows:
- the requirement regarding the minimum salary of foreigners has been canceled;
- the amount of the fee for issuing and extending the validity of the job permit has been changed; the fee for amending a job permit or issuing a duplicate of a job permit has been canceled;
- the list of methods of submitting documents for obtaining a job permit has been expanded;
- monitoring of the payment of a single contribution has been introduced;
- new grounds for cancellation of job permits are provided;
- the prohibition on the employment of persons who are subject to international sanctions or special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions” was established;
- employment of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus is possible in case of obtaining the consent of the Security Service of Ukraine;
- it is allowed to issue job permits for foreigners and stateless persons who came to Ukraine to study and intend to work during the period of study and after graduation.
