It didn’t go well: “Amendments of Lozovyi” were partially canceled
Recently the Ukrainian government adopted a Law that partially cancels so-called “Lozovyy amendments”. With recent changes, the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine determines a new procedure for calculating the pre-trial investigation terms, and the fixed terms of pre-trial investigation where no one was notified of suspicion are canceled.
Considering the above crucial changes, other provisions of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine related to pre-trial investigation terms where no one was notified of suspicion were also excluded, e.g. the possibility to close the criminal proceedings due to expiration of fixed pre-trial investigation terms and others.
