Blocked exports, or how the tax authorities get control over exports under the guise of fighting against the non-return of currency
The tax authorities are now entitled to block tax invoices registered in connection with the export of goods. Given the problem with blocking tax invoices in recent years, such rules put exporters at risk of exporting certain types of goods and incurring losses due to vessel downtime, as they cannot clear the goods through customs without a tax invoice.
