Military record-keeping for businesses: The digitalization trend
On June 27, 2026, amendments to the Procedure for the Organization and Maintenance of Military Registration of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service, and Reservists, approved by Resolution No. 1487 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of December 30, 2022, entered into force.
These amendments reaffirm the government's commitment to the digitalization of the processes through which employers maintain individual military registration records. Undoubtedly, the transition to an electronic format represents a positive step compared to paper-based interaction with the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers.
At the same time, in our view, digitalization alone does not address the systemic shortcomings of the current model of individual military registration. This article examines the amendments that are expected to have the greatest practical impact on employers.
