Review of the Draft Law “On sea ports of Ukraine”
Draft Law “On sea ports of Ukraine” that is discussed in the Parliament, foresees the reform of ports management that will be performed through the administration branches of sea ports and sets aside the job of the sea port’s captain.
The draft foresees the possibility of the berths lease, which is prohibited by the current legislation, and provides protection of the private property rights for the water development facilities constructed before passing this law.
The law offers opportunities for construction and development of the private port terminals.
